What is MomCo
Here at MomCo, we gather and support moms. We believe in the simple but revolutionary idea that remarkable things happen when moms come together. Our acronym stands for “Mothers of Preschoolers” because we began in 1973 when a group of moms with young children banded together to share their lives and parenting journeys. Over the past 48 years, MomCo has expanded our community to include moms with school-aged kids. In addition, we are partnering with churches and organizations worldwide to equip and encourage moms in more than 70 countries.
What to Expect
We are Auburn/Opelika MomCo. We exist to meet the needs of every mom from pregnancy through ages 15. We all share a similar desire to be the very best moms we can be. We believe we mother better together! MomCo recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten and up through middle school are filled with unique needs. MomCo help moms make friendships that will help guide us through these phases of motherhood. MomCo meet together on the first and third Thursday of every month at Pepperell Baptist Church in Opelika, Alabama. Meetings feature breakfast, coffee, speakers, creative activities and/or crafts and most importantly fellowship with other moms just like you! Members of MomCo do not have to be church members of our host church (Pepperell Baptist). All moms are welcome to join us for any of our meetings! We are welcoming Christian group- our faith impacts all that we do and we strive to love all moms and show them the love of Jesus Christ.
For the Kids
During our MomCo meetings, your preschool-aged children will be cared for by the volunteers at Pepperell Baptist Church and our wonderful childcare workers. Infants are welcome to stay with mom during the meeting but once they are crawling we ask that they stay in childcare. We will assist you in getting your little ones settled in our preschool department once you arrive!
