Do you have questions about the Resurrection? So did the Corinthians! Beginning on March 15 through the Easter season we will unpack 1 Corinthians 15. We will emphasize the following biblical theological themes: How the Old Testament informed Paul’s theology of the resurrection, how the Christ event decisively shaped Paul’s understanding of God’s redemptive work, and how the resurrection still speaks today. Make plans to join us with your family each week for worship as we wrestle with Paul’s answers to the Corinthians questions.
This special Sunday will kick off with a breakfast fellowship and traditional Easter egg hunt on the back lawn of the church campus at 9:15 AM. In the morning service at 10:30 AM Dr. Jamie Dew, President of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary will be preaching in addition to a blend of contemporary praise and congregational hymns.
The Passover is a meal that rehearses the story of God rescuing his people of Israel from Egyptian slavery. In the New Testament Paul teaches the church at Corinth that Christ has become our Passover Lamb. Make plans to join us on this special evening where we reenact the Last Supper by celebrating a Christian Seder meal on Holy Wednesday that will prepare your heart for our Good Friday Tenebrae service.
Join us for a special Good Friday service where step into the darkness of the shadow of the cross through song and dramatic reading of Scripture in anticipation of the coming light on Easter Sunday.
At Pepperell we value incorporating all persons into the worship experience. On Easter Sunday our kids music ministry, “The Village Beats” will lead the congregation in a couple of Easter favorites.
As part of our blended worship service, the Pepperell Praise Team will guide us through a collection of theologically rich songs that emphasize the joy of the resurrection. Additionally, our music ministry will lead the congregational to participate in making a joyful noise with a couple of favorite traditional Easter hymns.
The resurrection of the Lord Jesus is the hinge point for God’s redemptive work revealed in the Scripture. Join us on Easter Sunday as Pastor Zac unpacks 1 Corinthians 15:20-28 to draw together major biblical theological themes explaining the significance of the first Easter.
